Collaboration and Teamwork in Legal Reporting Transformation
Lee & Thompson, a leading UK law firm, faced challenges with slow PDF-based financial reports. Collaborating with Chess, they enhanced their infrastructure using Microsoft Power BI to provide real-time access to financial data.
In 2019, the firm aimed to eliminate manual reporting and improve decision-making. Chess recommended Power BI and facilitated sessions to define requirements, resulting in a "partner view" report that delivered immediate insights into client fees and cash flow.
This collaboration transformed reporting capabilities, enabling agile decision-making and empowering partners with the tools for informed, data-driven choices in a competitive legal landscape.

Adrian Allan
Adrian is an experienced IT professional with over 15 years in the Industry, starting off his career as a Sharepoint Developer. Adrian now leads the Chess Digital team and oversees digital transformation and growth for Chess.

Don McIntyre
With over 25 years of experience in design and technology, Don has worked on digital products for companies like Virtuality, Oyster Partners, and Fraunhofer Institute. Currently, Don is Design Director at Glasgow School of Art and the Digital Health and Care Innovation Centre.

Chris Robb
Chris has a background across the software delivery lifecycle, and currently runs our various project teams.
An avid sailor and keen off-roader, Chris is equally happy anchored in a remote bay somewhere, sailing across an ocean, or bogged down to the doors in mud doing winch recoveries.

Darren Clark
Darren started of his career within the manufacturing sector and has been developing applications for over two decades. He is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers across the UK and has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the client's requirements are satisfied.

Gary worked in various roles, from a brief stint in an M.O.T station, bar work and several years spent in retail while studying software development at university. Upon graduating in 2019, Gary was offered a graduate developer role with Chess. With 5 years of industry experience and knowledge he is now a key developer within the digital team.

Imram Khokar
Imram began his software development career as a Summer Intern at Chess in 2019. After graduating from university, he was offered a graduate developer role with the company.
Throughout his time at Chess, he has worked on a multitude of projects, spanning both front-end and back-end development.
